Original artwork description:

This is a portrait of James Baldwin; writer, playwright, poet and social activists. Baldwin's works explore the intracities of masculinity, sexuality and race. The title comes from the fact that I have done several portraits of James Baldwin. One reason is that he is "portragenic (my term). He has left us with lots of photos showing his unique facial expressions.
"Another James" is a one of a kind original work of art. It is produced using India ink and acrylic paint on Dura-Lar 5 mil artist mylar mounted on tempered masonite. For this work, the background was graphically reproduced and laminated to the mylar surface. The remainder of the work was produced with acrylic paint and india ink.
I only sell original work so there will only be one original.
The painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
This painting will be ready to hang, out of the box. It will be mounted on tempered masonite with a two inch wide painted border. It will have a hanging strip on the back and I include a “monkey hook” for easy attachment to your wall. It can be on your wall within five minutes. For overseas purchasers, the painting will be shipped "rolled in a tube" and the shipping price will be reduced.
