Namaskar mudra is the gesture of greeting with the hands in front of the forehead, similar to the Anjali mudra two hands clasped in front of the chest which is a gesture of adoration, prayer and respectful greeting, characteristic of minor deities. The Anjani mudra is also known as Hridayanjali mudra, which means admiration for the seal of the heart from the soul.
