Original artwork description:

The moorlands of the Angus Glens, Scotland was the inspiration for this Scottish mountain landscape painting, where I spent many days hill walking and grouse beating in my youth. Famous for their purple heather covered moorlands and rounded rolling hills. Managed by shooting estates for mainly for grouse. There are five glens, Glenesk, Glen Lethnot, Glen Clova, Glen Prosen and Glenisla.
Painted in an impressionistic style with an atmospheric cloudy sky with the hills in a cool blue tone and the warmer ochre, purple and green tones of the heather moorland in the foreground.
Painted in a contemporary gestural style with a palette knife and fingers.

Painted using quality artists oils on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a gloss varnish finish and white wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
