Angular_214 is part of a series of abstract drawings combining ink and fineliners. Inspired by satelite imagery and sumi-e paintings, it contrast organic shapes somewhat resembling islands with strong linework. The latter depicts the influence of humans on natural landscapes. The organic shapes on closer inspection show an immense amount of detail, not unsimilar to taking a closer look at nature itself. As such, the artwork can be perceived at different levels of detail - further away, the observer can perceive the overall composition with more abstract shapes, up close the details take over the observation.
