An abstract landscape based on the landscape of the west Pennine moors. The west Pennine moors are a wild and mysterious landscape. The view from Winter Hill looking west takes in the area of moorland know as Anglezarke. The name 'Anglezarke' is a mix of old Norse and Gaelic and that means 'Anlaf's Hill Pasture'.
