Original painting by Irene Makarova. My works are in many collections around the world.

This painting is one of a series. I started the "Angels" series a few years ago when I did a charity project together with my friends artists. We painted a playground in a boarding school for deaf children in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. I made a sketch in oil on paper and painted a wall for the children. This collaboration was the beginning of my series of paintings with Angels.

The Angels in my paintings do not have mouths, as the most important knowledge often arises in silence. And happy is he who hears the voice of an Angel spoken in utter silence and by utter silence. Angels protect people, as well as serve intermediaries between the heavenly and the earthly, between the soul and the body, between our highest capabilities, abilities and talents and our daily life.

The symbol of the house in this painting is an important symbol. Our body is a home for our soul. Our personal space is also our home as it protects us from the dangers of the outside world, and at the same time allows our friends and guests to visit us. The whole world we live in is our home.
