Original artwork description:

"Angel" - a big vertical abstract painting full of energy and impact.
Size: 120 x 80 cm
Ships within 1-2 days from Berlin, Germany in a cardboard box.
Unframed.

This artwork was inspired by a beautiful drawing of Jacob wrestling the angel by Bonnat (1876).
"The futility of the struggle between the finite and the infinite, the poetic truth of the story, the pity of human strength madly wasting itself against the inevitable, the irresistible–the grandeur and the pathos of a struggle…"
In my original painting the angel is female, and you can't see Jacob's figure. The angel is surrounded by a myriad of elements that depicts clutter of our everyday lives. The angel is disintegrating, merging with all the elements.

The artwork is signed on the front and back and accompanied with a certificate of authenticity.

I am taking extra care to photograph the paintings in a way that most accurately represents the color, textures and size of a painting. However the images you see online, may show a difference due to slight variation between browsers, devices and screen settings.

Materials:
My paintings are made with professional quality acrylic and oil paints (Golden, Schmincke, Winsor & Newton, Amsterdam, Cobra).
