Original artwork description:

This large watercolour of an angel, face in silhouette and hand raised in peace was inspired by a gif that I saw on Twitter, of a woman with a raised hand and moving, flowing streams of energy at her back.

I wanted to create a very simple but intense image so have used a limited but striking palette of gold gouache with a hint of brown, turquoise and purple watercolour on black Khadi handmade paper.

The last three photos show the painting in progress.

Khadi handmade cotton rag paper from India is 210 gsm paper with an uneven but beautiful deckled edge.
Posted flat, wrapped in tissue, in a reinforced envelope, sent by Tracked Postage.
