Movies seen many years ago can leave lasting memories, and some of those memories can be accurate, while some can be false. The powerful imagery of Tarkovsky is unforgettable, but he, in turn, took inspiration from powerful paintings. In the mind's eye they can become one - the reference to Breughel overlaying the memory of Tarkovsky's film, which itself was about memory, and his own childhood. This painting plays with these ideas and challenges us to question what we really remember.

The painting will be framed with a simple black wooden moulding.
