Original artwork description:
This painting is for my Mum. She always said my first owl painting should have been called The Owl and the Pussycat as her pet name for me was Pussycat. So I revisited the Owl and the Pussycat and thought of her constantly as I painted. The hydrangeas are a nod to her love of gardening – she could even get her hydrangeas to thrive facing the west under a hot Australian sun. I miss her every day.
