Artwork description:

And the rain gently falls is a Deckle Edged Paper Print of the beautiful landscape on the Isle of Skye. This was created using advanced photography techniques.

The colours of the landscape as seen through light rain, they seem to intensify and soften at the same time. This view of the small islands off the coast of the Isle of Skye creates a mellow feel, an impressionist style, where only the colours and tones matter.

This is printed on exquisite fine art paper that has a texture like watercolour painting paper. The paper is deckle edged, the edges have been hand torn. You can see an example of this in one of the photographs.

Deckling is a highly skilled process which gives the piece a sophisticated look. This type of print is often 'float framed', the print is raised up from the backing board to give it a look of floating in the frame.

The print can either have no white border ie the image itself has the deckle edge or, the print can have a white border of about 1 inch and that white border is deckle edged. Please confirm which of these options you prefer.

Materials used:

Watercolour texture fine art paper and non fade ink
