Original artwork description:

There is something awe inspiring about 350+ year old olive trees. We came across them in Pulia in the ‘heel’ of Italy and again walking in the Andalusian mountains. They are quietly charismatic trees and not easy to represent their power and presence. This picture is one of a series all of which are painted in strong acrylic paint and depicted in charcoal. I think they are dramatic and charismatic, just like the tree itself.

Materials used:

Acrylic and charcoal
