Original artwork description:

This diptych piece was inspired by my thoughts on natural entities in our world that do not have bones, and imagining what their skeletons might look like if they did. I chose to paint what I think the anatomy of a moon looks like, clasped together and held in place with the help of metal sheets and bolts. The enlarged moon floats above a cliff, and mirrors the lamp on the right canvas, the lamp being both skeletal and manmade. The simplicity of the colour palette and the size of the bones was inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe's bone paintings.
