This artwork has been conceived as an anatomical study of the bronze sculpture "Hercules and the Nemean Lion" (1770) by Ignazio Collino, currently kept in the Pinacoteca Albertina in Turin.
The painting is made with oil colors and acrylic plaster on raw linen canvas, and has been realised during my last year at the Academy of Fine Arts of Turin for the exam of artistic anatomy.
