In this piece, I sought to capture the ephemeral blaze of a sunset, employing a minimalist yet expressive approach. The textured layers of wax and oil blur into a dance of warmth and passion, imbuing a serene yet vibrant energy. It's an abstraction of a moment's transcendent beauty, symbolic of endings and new beginnings, designed to elevate and illuminate any space it graces.
This is an encaustic abstract painting over a hardboard panel. The painting size is 60 x 50 x 2 cm.. Encaustic is a wax based paint composed of beeswax, damar resin for elasticity and pigment or oil paint, which is kept molten on a heated palette. When It's applied to the surface with brushes then it's reheated again in order to fuse the paint, bringing the colors into a harmonious composition.
