Original artwork description:

A calm painting of an open landscape in which blue, russet and white predominate and where an angel is seated in the lower branches of a foregound tree, watching rain falling in the distance.

The tree is lit by his presence and the foliage is all feathery and fluffy. To the left is a swirling cloud which forms into rainfall, concentrated on a small area, falling onto a specific tree in fact, a little more russet than the others.

The landscape recedes with low hills on the horizon, a row of trees in the middle distance and small bushes in the foreground. The evening star is low on the horizon to the left of the image.

Sold Unframed - the image is painted around the edge of the canvas, so there is no need for a frame. Please note that the "Image in context" is simply to give an idea of the image size within a room. The last picture shows this painting with its companion piece on my mantlepiece which measures 150 cm across (approx 60 inches)
