This is an original oil painting on canvas by Australian artist Scott Maxwell

Asclepius was a hero and god of medicine in ancient Greek religion and mythology. Asclepius represents the healing aspect of the medical arts. Much of my art is about or involves healing or the search for that healing and the relief from pain which is a huge part of my life. There are many similarities between painting and the drugs used to ease the burden. A painted dreamscape from within the artists interior searching for healing.

This painting is on a stretched canvas the edges of the canvas are painted black and a hanging wire is attached to the back so it is ready to hang on your wall with or without a frame. In Situ Photos are approximate proportion.
