🔎"Amphora and fruits in oval" is an original still life painted in an oval using the Flemish method (grisaille + glaze), which is a first in every respect. This painting was born of my desire to pay tribute to Jean-Siméon Chardin (1699-1779), the great French still-life painter who sometimes painted in oval shapes to display his pictures in châteaux, above doors or cupboards. Here, the piece, with its meticulous attention to detail, is set off by a beautiful custom-made wooden frame.
