The name of the work is "Among the Woods". The subject of this creation is a white ape, which is a continuation of the work "The Monkey Bathing". The two images of a bird perched on the ape's arm and the ape itself are used to depict a joyous scene in the forest.
In ancient Chinese culture, the ape has always been a human-like animal highly regarded by scholars. It symbolizes a hermit sage who lives in seclusion, detached from the world. Living deep in the mountains and jungles, the ape guards its own world. This is the very reason why I have been creating works featuring apes.
🌈The original of this work is limited to 8 editions, and they have all been sold out for quite a while. The collectors include the international superstar, Jackie Chan.
