I love clapboard and while staying in Glenwood Springs CO at Thanksgiving 2005 I spotted this strange corner building with a room built out on stilts. I passed it every day for a few days and then decided to paint it.

If you love downtown scenes of American towns then this would evoke the feeling of the poetic ordinary - a little bit shabby and down at heel with its own grace and interest.

This is an original building watercolour and perfect little urban piece for the hipster in you.
