American robins (Turdus migratorius), the largest North American thrushes, are fairly large songbirds widely distributed in North America from northern Canada and Alaska. They spend the winter in the states of Florida and California; and in Mexico, Guatemala and Belize. American robin is the official bird of the states of Connecticut, Michigan and Wisconsin.
