The heat outside is intense, humid, sultry, the light bright. The colours are accentuated, sharp. Yet the interior beckons with its promise of coolth and shade, the air scented with nuts and fruit, banana and strawberry. Peach Pie and Cherry Sundaes, crispy cones filled with creamy vanilla. Sprinkles of lurid colours, filled with sugary joy and childlike wonder. The work is full of realism, full of small details and with an intense feeling of summer, an ideal addition to a collection of American-themed works.
Texture has been added to create extra depth. The canvas is 0.5 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished.
