The cinematic quality and extreme weather of the American deserts have inspired this collection. The classic shapes of midcentury architecture, the distinctive signage; it often feels familiar, like a place you know, but have only seen in a movie.
I have travelled these deserts for many years and no road trip or landscape ever feels the same because of the constantly changing light and shapes of the desert. Roy's in Amboy feels like a relic of another era, in the vast landscape of the Mojave.
