Original artwork description:

Nothing to do with the huge warehousing and fulfilment chain. The rather rarer and loud vocal monkeys that are in the Amazon. Memories of 2019 when I had the chance to hear them in Peru. A trip with firm Travel Eyes, supporting visually impaired travellers, so lots of observation and description.

This challenge was to be inspired by "Rousseau." So no tigers, but monkeys in the lush greenery of trees. A composite of several photographs I took at the time to make a family group of the orange tinged hairy characters.

I've created a collection "Covid Creativity - Art from Lock-down". An Art Challenge between a group of artists who got to know each other in and around Hereford. Taking it in turns to suggest ideas for each other, either based on an artistic style, medium or subject. Meeting virtually to share our results.

Image 25 x 19 cm (9.75 x 7.5") is completed in acrylic on acrylic paper. The painting is in a white mount in a black frame 33.5 x 27.5 x 2.5 cm (13 x 11")
