An older painting, which Katherine Scrivens prompted me to put up (when talking about her earlier naïve work). Amanda was my first model in Devon. I first got her starting to model, and it has now become quite a career for her. But those early days when there were few distractions and less demands remain a favoured memory. We had a good mutually creative relationship but then career and boyfriends came along and now I see little of her.
She was very fond of this distinctive and somewhat peculiar jacket, and put it on to keep warm during a break in a winter modelling session.
I made three versions of this but have no idea where the other two are.
Spectrum oil paint, knives, sticks, paste medium.
