Original artwork description:

On a late summer afternoon in September, I set off to a tranquil spot to try my very first painting accompanied by my new puppy. Here, far from traffic and "the madding crowd", my puppy and I could relax and take in the warmth of the sunshine and the sights and sounds around us. This view is from the village of Telfes in the Stubai valley of Tyrol, Austria. The sun is glinting off the Stubai glacier in the distance while grasses and wildflowers dance in the wind in the foreground. It is also typical for this region to have these mountain huts for storing hay and other tools for working in these high meadows. As I worked on my painting, there was still some hay harvesting going on in the distance. My puppy Cara, being a border collie, enjoyed playing in the mountain stream nearby but all in all, after being allowed to let off steam she was very patient and let me get on with my work.

“Alpine Meadow" Telfeser Wiesen is an original watercolour painting painted on site in Telfes in the Stubai valley of Tyrol. It is painted on rough, handmade watercolor 600g Hahenmühle watercolour paper using Windsor and Newton paints. It is one of a series of Tyrolean paintings and it comes with a warm white mount to fit a standard frame size in a square format of 70cm x 70cm, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.

Materials used:

600g Hahenmühle watercolour paper using Windsor and Newton paints
