Original artwork description:

For those who love flying or simply wish they could this work is inspired by the experience of both. Spending hours on a plane guided by pilots who make almost every decision I find myself gazing out the window as we weave our way through the towering clouds in search of blue skies where our destination lays just beyond the horizon. Earth bound once more springtime heralds the arrival of swallows, swifts and house martins across much of Europe, their perilous journey across the Sahara and Mediterranean can only be imagined as they celebrate with aerial acrobatics that defy gravity and delight all those who gaze with wonder. The work draws upon the imagination and experience of momentary weightlessness that change our earthbound perspective to enjoy what it must feel like to be free as a bird in flight.
