This is smaller than I usually work because it is a plen aire piece painted on stretched canvas, finished on July 23, 2015.

I was drawn to the complementary color contrast of the mountain and the foreground. I also love the remoteness and feeling of solitude. The mountain had a feeling of sacredness to it. This is actually one of my favorite paintings.
The painting has been framed in a custom-quality wood frame with golden highlights that beautifully accentuate the flaxen tones of the painting.
