“Almost Abstract Landscape – 2 (After Rain)“ continues the semi abstract series of landscape oil paintings in which Zakhar simplified the subject almost to the point of contrasting, yet complimentary color fields. Rough texture, achieved by multiple layers of thick oil paint overlapping each other, creates an interesting effect, adding to the general mood of the artwork, depicting late evening after a heavy rain.

The artwork is in private collection, but the artist is open for commissions and may repeat the artwork if you really like it.
