At the time I painted this artwork I had never seen the real ocean, I had never smelled salt in the wind. I have embodied on canvas my fantasies of the endless ocean skyline, the light fresh breeze, the heat of the burning sun, and the morning sea mist. And, of course, in this artwork I expressed all my love for Van Gogh's work.
