Summer seems like the season of possibilities! Friends and family visiting. Families on holiday. Gardens growing. Birds and butterflies flitting around an open meadow.

This is a plein-aire painting from last summer - it is one of my favorite places to paint. I am often stepping over fox scat on my way to find a spot to set up - and listen to bees and hummingbirds as I paint. I lean into all of the possibilities of painting n the summer.
