All that she wants describes the woman n her twenties. After the horror of the First WorldWar, people wanted to live intensely and intoxication and tempo permeated the decade. For the first time many women earned their own money during the war, which provided a huge boost to emancipation. They wore short hair and trousers, took off their corsets an showed leg to knee. Many factors contributed to this development: women no longer cared about conventions, but enjoyed their lives to the fullest. Even exotic influences from the Orient influenced the fashion: turbans or flapper cloche (as in the work) were in vogue. The red-gray background refers to the external situation of the First World War (grey everyday life, ruins, bloodshed). In the foreground, the lady puts on a subtile elegance that stands in the light an stands out with it.
