Original artwork description:

Base layer and back ground were originally an abstract creation, acrylic abstraction.
In leaving the background with the abstraction exposed a figure (owl) was drawn into the for ground and then the negative space was filled.
It's a process that I call pushing and pulling. The process is pushing and pulling the for ground and back ground to create depth.
I discovered this process by creating on surfaces that all ready had patterns or images on them and then creating over top of that.
I thought why not paint in abstraction as the under painting and use it as my pre pattern surface.
It's an exciting way to create.
It has several small canvases inside the dimensions given that can be removed and re arranged. The idea that you the viewer can interact with the piece it's self is exciting as an artist. Not just viewing but a physical interaction with the piece.
I create allot with circles and and the owl is such an amazing creature. it's shapes it's size it's myths. The massive capacity that has with it's neck and a 360 degree turning ability is what gave it it's name.
I had also created it inspired by my ladies love for the owl and mine for her.
