This image is part of a series of abstract art works. My intention is to explore shape and colour by manipulating and layering multiple copper plates. I have used a sense of place in nature to inspire me.

The method used is etching on multiple small copper plates with sugar lift and spit bite aquatint. The final image consists of three panels each measuring 11x11 cm.

Materials used:

Oil based printing ink and Somerset Satin paper
