This painting once again represents my beloved birch forest on Lake Maggiore.
The subject is created with overlapping brushstrokes, where the colour, brushstroke after brushstroke, reaches its meaning. The colors are bright and expressive, almost abstract. The theme is the confidence that trees have in being reborn to new life every year.
This work is part of the cycle of works on the forest and nature entitled "Silent Rebellion".
Oil colors on 100% cotton canvas. The edges are painted or finished so that the picture can be hung without a frame. The work is finished with a layer of glossy water-based varnish.
