Artwork description:

I take early morning walks along Alameda Creek in Fremont California, and an adjacent regional park, Quarry Lakes almost every day. I observe a lot of waterfowl and other wildlife in the early morning hours when they are most active. Egrets, Canada geese, ducks, herons, as well as turtles, frogs and other creatures are part of the community. I love watching their habits, and take lots of pictures on my iPhone during my walks.

This is a snowy egret fishing for breakfast in the shallow creek. This is a limited edition print, the image is carved onto a linoleum block, then hand printed with black ink on a beautiful handmade Mulberry paper, on my etching press. The image is 13.5 by 11.5 inches. The outer dimensions of the paper are 19 x 16.75 inches.

Each print is signed by the artist, numbered and is an original piece of art. Each one is unique; the printing varies slightly, which is inherent in hand pulled linocuts.

Materials used:

Handmade Mulberry paper, ink
