Original artwork description:

A view towards Monagne St Victoire from Le Tholonet, where Cézanne used to paint. He had a carriage come for him in the morning from his studio at Les Lauves and take him out here to paint, returning in the evening to take him back home. The landscape remains impressive, and the mountain range is omnipresent. Some broad sweeps and patches of colour, with a few details of trees to give it scale.

Materials used:

Watercolour on Saunders watercolour paper
