Sketching is my daily exercise especially when I’m on the move. I take my sketchbook and pencils wherever I go and I often work these sketches fast and furious. In this way I capture a unique mood even if the lines may be a bit rough and scratchy.
Slowly I am reaching into my trunk full of sketches, organizing them, getting the photo, and uploading. Some I rework into paintings others digital works. Many of my inspirations come from sitting out in public places, such as this one done while waiting at the airport in Bangkok, something I haven’t been able to do in 2020-21!. My signature for most of my sketches is my ‘G’ … and I try to remember to put the date… Then there’s a photo of me sketching at an airport.
