An oil painting of a stunning woman with her hair up in vintage clothing. This painting is one of a series of portraits of women that I am working on using the Zorn pallete which is made up of just four colours. This palette was created by the Swedish artist Anders Zorn in the mid 19th Century. As a famously challenging palette for professionals, I have used it to develop the way I mix and place skin tones, pushing the nuances of light on skin as far as I can take them.
