This painting is one of a series I made last summer after my holiday in St. Ives. Agapanthus seem to love the conditions in south west England and grow in abundance. Each day, on my walk to the beach, I passed a garden full of the lovely blooms. I made some notes and sketches and took a few photographs and set to work in the studio on my return. I've returned to this theme a number of times as I was so inspired by the beautiful blues.

Agapanthus by a Cornish Beach is painted in oils on Winsor and Newton canvas board. It measures 25.5cm x 20 cm and is unframed.
I have included a photograph of the painting displayed as it comes, on a small easel which shows it off well. It would also look great in a frame of your choice.
