Original artwork description:

This painting is one of the first paintings where I introduced figures based on life painting into the landscape from a drawing made on location. In fact, the female was painted directly from life and the other figures were later created from imagination in order to expand the narrative of the central image. The figures began to suggest the idea of swimmers as I developed the composition and the lake was then painted.
