This original oil painting, 'Afternoon Surf', captures the beauty and power of the ocean with its large, glowing waves and stunning pre-sunset.

In this piece I've recorded the raw, untamed spirit of the ocean. The swirling turquoises, blues and greens intertwine, reflecting the fury and mystical calm of the ocean. I chose oils to add depth and texture, allowing the dynamic movement of the waves and the play of light on the water to evoke a sense of awe.

This artwork invites the viewer to feel the ocean's powerful, ever-changing tides as a reminder of nature's immense beauty and power.

To create this painting I used various range of techniques- from an old traditional glazing/sfumato (gained its popularity in 16th-17th century) and blending to so much loved by impressionists impasto.

This painting would look great in any home décor style. It is ready to hang, can be framed or hung without a frame - this painting is extended over the edges of the gallery wrapped canvas, is wired, signed and dated by me.
