After the Winter was painted in the Saarland where I now live in Germany. The undulating landscape is still very pale because it is very early spring. I love the subtlety of this time of year before everything bursts into bloom. The fallen tree tells a story of winter storms past and a buzzard flying overhead is a sight often to be seen and heard on such a peaceful, bright morning.
