Water pooling on a glass panel can be mesmerising.
The light bounces and diffracts, shines and shimmer. The raindrops take on different shapes: here a cell dividing , ther’re a full solar system.
It is organic and surreal, unstable and hypnotizing.
After a summer storm, I took a number of pictures of rain splashed out on a skylight as I couldn’t stop looking at it. I am hoping to use this material to create a series of work exploring shapes, colours and light- starting with this kaleidoscopic effect.
