My motivation to create this oil landscape painting was a contest called "Copy the Masters". This original painting was inspired by a painting done by Swedish-born American Impressionist painter John F Carlson. Copying a painting is perfectly legal and proper as long as the signature says "After John F Carlson" under the artist signature. It was a fun project. I love the muted orange of the cabins against the blues of the sky and snow. I like this painting very much and hope you do as well. I framed it in a traditional thick weathered black frame. It is ready to hang on your wall.
