Original artwork description:

PLEASE NOTE THAT DESPITE THE HOLIDAYS, WE ARE STILL ABLE TO SHIP SOME PAINTINGS FROM MY STUDIO IN PRAGUE, INCLUDING THIS ONE.

This painting was inspired by one of my favorite Georgian artist,David Kakabadze

Size: 30 (W) x 40 (H) x 2 (D) cm. Unframed but ready to hang.

It was time when I tried to reproduce my favourite artists' work. Georgian artist David Kakabadze was one of them. A multi-talent, he was one of the leading Georgian avant-garde painter, graphic artist and scenic designer. Kakabadze became a professor at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts in 1928 but came under pressure from Soviet authorities for "failure" to abandon Formalism and adapt to the dogmas of Social realism. He was dismissed from the Academy in 1948.

I used a special glazing technique to make the painting look older.

This original painting is more than 25 years old. I loved it and did not want to sell for years. But sometimes you need to say goodbye to things you love to start a new phase in your life, don't you?

The painting is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

All my paintings are professionally packed with bubble wrap and shipped in custom made double wall cardboard boxes.

Worldwide shipping from my studio in Prague. Tracked and Signed.

USA and Non-EU buyers: Importing artwork into your country might be associated with additional charges and taxes.

Colours may vary a little bit from what you see on your computer. Usually they are much better.

Materials used:

High quality oil paint and varnish, brushes, palette knife
