The African leopard is one of the many species of the leopard family. I painted this leopard on a 'rainforest blue' background, so the gold and yellow colours would 'pop out'. The golden paint reacts to light and gives the artwork a shiny touch. The work is painted on canvas in a realistic way with acrylic paint.

Because big cats become more threatened these days, we should never forget how special they are.

It's officialy a diptych-piece with the Amur Leopard. When you buy both, the price will be lower.
