Original artwork description:

African art has been, since its inception, one of the main references of abstract art.

This series of sculptures aims to pay homage to African art, which has had such an importance in world art, using some of its basic codes and bringing it closer to a contemporary style.

The sculpture is made of steel and blued in black. The protruding nose breaks the delicate curve that frames the head, while accentuating the eyes and mouth, formed by holes in the veneer.

The work presents a complex curve with greater height in the front than in the back, like a paraboloid, making the nose project even more forward and expressiveness to a set made through basic lines and holes.
