The artist was in the Etosha Game Reserve in Namibia, Africa. Here vast plains stretch out across the horizon, interspersed with the odd tree or wildlife. The artist wanted to capture the vibrancy that is Africa in the use of color. The symbols in the background are African in origin and reflect positive messages such as a good marriage, protection, the importance of working together, hope, friendship etc. It is the artist's desire to imbue the hanging environment with these messages of positivity.
