Original artwork description:

This beautifully delicate urban pop art portrait of a girl with blue metallic hair is made on a mid-tone craft paper.

Usually my artwork have deep evocative meanings,
offering a mirror of feelings to the person that watches it.
Yet this painting (and her sisters as well) are born out of my urgent desire to make something beautiful that included metallic paint.
And when my intuition wants something, even if reason says "why, what when where?", it gets done. (it has the ability to be very persistent)

Recently I had made 4 very exiting portraits with golden/copper looking hair,
and now I wanted to find a way to make a small serie of these affordable artworks.
As usual, I couldn't stick to the first intention:
to stay with the same materials/colors.
My inquisitive mind always wants to try new options,
so this time I wanted to head again to the "odd" colors that I use so many times.

It's a pleasure to play around on paper, you can see that on the "making of" video that is shown here as well.
I am sure these good vibes will bright up any wall where these lovely little sisters will hang.

Bluelocks is made on paper of 21 x 28 cm, that's 8,2 x 11 inches,
with a space around the image so it's easy to mat ( = get a passepartout around) it.
Which makes it easy to get a fitting frame around it that will tie together your wall perfectly.

I would be very happy if some of these would go together to a new house, so there is a discount when you buy several of them, plus you only have to pay shipping once!
Drop me a message and I will send you a discount-code of 10%.

They are signed with that little symbol that represents the first letters of my name and on the back you will find the full signature, year of making and the title.

I will send it in an unbendable envelope so that it will arrive to you in perfect state.
You will also get a certificate of authenticity (plus lots of virtual hugs and good karma points!!!)

I truly appreciate every form you support my art,
and if you have any further questions, I am happy to assist.

Materials used:

pencil, ink, acrylic paint, conté
